RARE TITLES
Rare Titles
A rare title holds a strong value because the demand for the book surpasses the supply. This is determined by the title’s significance, scarceness, age, condition, physical and aesthetic qualities, association, or topic matter. Some of the rare titles for sale on our store include Loewe: Past Present Future, Dolce Via: Italy in the 1980s and the 1960’s issues of the Holiday travel magazine.
What Makes a Book Rare?
If the demand of a book exceeds its supply, the book holds significant value and is deemed rare. Some of the deciding factors of a book having a high demand include its scarcity, age, and subject matter. The less copies there are of a title, the more rare it is. Limited edition books have the chance to become instant rare titles since they are more difficult to get your hands on. A book’s publication date also has an impact on its demand and rarity. The 60-year-old issues of Holiday magazine we have available on our site are considered rare. With subject matters, certain topics stand out to audiences and collectors more than others and they can increase a book’s demand enforcing its rare status.
